Destination Atlanta - a local's perspective

"Welcome to Atlanta where the players play." - Jermaine Dupris

I am proud to say I was born and raised in Atlanta. I love it when I hear people speak well of my hometown. In this post, I will tell you (from a local's perspective) the wonderful, fun things to do and see in this peach of a city, as well as where to stay, where to eat and more.

If you have never been to Atlanta, the wide variety of things to see and do can be overwhelming. Atlanta is very spread out with many different neighborhoods (each with their own character and special qualities). I could write an entire blog post on the neighborhoods alone (perhaps I will). I am breaking this down into sections: Cultural activities, Historical Landmarks, Outdoor Adventures, Music Scene, Nightlife, Entertainment, Sports, Dining, Shopping, Street Art, How to get around, Where to stay, and Day Trips.
